These instructions explain how to add phone numbers to the SpitFire X Dialer's (Access Version, not Pro-MySQL) nocalls list so they will not be called again. This is not specifically instructing how to import the federal nocalls data, but rather how to add a few phone numbers of customers who requested not to be called again.
For instructions on importing the federal nocalls database, click here.
For the Pro(MySQL) version, click here.
First we need to create a text file with the phone numbers that you want to add to the nocalls database.
1. Open Notepad from Start-->Programs-->Accessories and type the 10 digit phone numbers into the window, hitting ENTER between phone numbers.
2. Click File-->Save As and save the file to a safe location, like the Desktop. Name the file something add to nocalls so you will know what it is.
With the numbers added to the text file, we can now import that text file into the Dialer's Nocalls database file.
1. Open ListMaker and click on Utilities-->Import List.
2. This opens the ASCII Import window. Click the yellow folder in the top, right-hand corner to select the text file you had created earlier.
3. Browse to the Desktop and select the add to nocalls.txt file.
4. Map the phone number to the Voice# field on the right.
5. Click the blue, floppy disk icon and browse to the C:\SpitFireX\ folder.
6. Select the Nocalls.mdb file. The DMANocalls.mdb file is used for storing the federal nocalls data.
7. When you click Save, it will ask if you want to append to the existing file. Click Yes.
8. Click the Green traffic light icon and it will ask if you want to scrub against the nocalls list. You will click No here because you don't want to scrub the nocalls against itself.
9. When finished it will generate a Import Results window and then you can close ListMaker.
Now that those numbers have been added to the Nocalls.mdb file, SpitFire will not dial them, even if they end up in new lists that you are dialing in the future. This is because SpitFire checks against the Nocalls.mdb and the DMANocalls.mdb for every number it dials in a list, in real-time.
