Reworking a list will reset the list so that you can dial it again. This is usually used when a list is exhausted. In other words, all of the records in the list have been dialed at least once. You can select what type of Dispositions to rework and leave the others alone that you don't want to call again. For instance, you may want to rework the answering machines, busies and no answers but not the voice connects.
Note: This article refers to the SpitFire X and SpitFire X Pro ListMaker procedure. However, the SpitFire Predictive ListMaker procedures are nearly identical.
See THIS article for a video on the Predictive ListMaker rework function.
List Rework: Best Practices
It is typically advised that you rework a list only when the list is exhausted so that you can be sure you have dialed all the records in the list. Reworking the list will cause the Dialer to start at the beginning of the list again and dial the records that had been reworked first. Then it would move on to the rest of the records.
You can rework a list as many times as you want; there is no software limitation. However, you should be aware that usually the more a list is reworked, the less productive it becomes. Eventually most lists usually will reach a point of diminishing returns, where most of the good phone numbers and leads have already been contacted.
This may not be the case though if the list is being reworked completely in order to sell a different product or service to the same customers who were called before.
IMPORTANT: Never rework a list while it is being dialed.
Reworking A List
1. Open the ListMaker X icon from the Desktop
2. Click on Lists-->Open List and select the list you want to rework.
3. With the list open, click on Utilities-->Rework List.
4. In the Rework window, you will see all of the possible dispositions that can be reworked. In the Pro (MySQL) Version, you can also input specific data parameters to allow only specific records to be reworked. For instance, if you wanted to rework the records in a specific city.
Every possible disposition for a record can be selected individually here or you can click All Dispositions to reset the entire list (with the exception of Hits or Nocalls).
Note: Dispositions from Warm Leads to User2 are assigned to records via the e-Agent application that can be used in conjunction with SpitFire X.
See THIS article on e-Agent.
5. Check off the dispositions that need to be reworked and click the Rework button at the bottom of the window.
6. The statistics at the top of the window show you the Total number of records in the list, how many that were Reset and then how many records are Available after the rework. Available records are records that can be dialed again.
Now the list can be loaded back into a Campaign and dialed.
