Using msitest.exe To Verify StationID's
A common issue with SpitFire Predictive systems where the Agent can hear their own voice in the headset but not the clients calls that are transferred to them can be resolved using a tool on the Dialer to send test beeps to the Agent's headsets.
Typically the issue here is that the Agent software has been configured to a station ID number that does not match up to the port number that the Agent's headset is plugged into back at the Dialer's break-out box.
With the msitest.exe program, we can verify the station ID of any Agent station.
Note: These instructions are for systems using Agents headsets that are physically connected to the Dialer's break-out box, not systems that are using PBX extensions or actual DID phone numbers for the Agent voice connection.
1. First you will need to browse to the folder where the file is located, which is the C:\SPD\ folder. Start by double-clicking My Computer on your Desktop to bring you to the following screen.

2. Next, double-click on Local Disk (C:) and then on the SPD folder.

3. In the SPD folder, you will look for a file labeled msitest.exe. Double-click on the file to open it.

4. Here you can select the station port you want to test by clicking on the drop-down menu.

5. Then click the Testline button a few times and see if the Agent can hear the beeps in his headset. If not, then select the next number and click the Testline button a few times. Repeat the process until your agent hears the beeping. That will tell you which number to set the Station ID parameter to in the Agent software at the station.
6. To change the Agent software's Station ID, open the Agent software and press SHIFT+F1 on your keyboard to bring up the Agent Setup window.

7. Change the Station ID to the correct number and then click Save at the bottom of the Agent Setup window.
8. Finally, close and re-open the Agent software and the change will take effect. This last step is VERY important. If you just click Save and try logging on again, the change will not have taken place yet.
