Introduction
With SpitFireX ListMaker you can search for, export and delete specific data in a list quickly and easily using the Lookup and Export features. So for instance, if you want to find all of the Los Angeles records in a California list, you can do that. Then you could export those records to create a new list and/or delete them from the original list.
This article discusses the procedures for the Access version of the SpitFireX Autodialer ListMaker. The procedures are almost exactly the same for the Predictive ListMaker (Access Version). See THIS article for instructions on these procedures for the Pro (MySQL) version of ListMaker.
Also, you will notice that the Pro version of the SpitFire software has more features for searching like searching by disposition. It is also much faster in the search and export processes then the Access version of SpitFire. Contact SpitFire Dialer Sales for information on upgrading to Pro.
Searching For Data
1. First, open the ListMaker program from the shortcut on the Desktop.

2. Click on Lists-->Open List. And then select the list you want to open in the Select a List window.

3. After the list is opened in ListMaker, the next step is to do a LookUp of the data that we will want to export.
The LookUp feature can be accessed from either Tools-->Lookup Contacts or from the
icon in ListMaker, circled in red below.

4. In the LookUp window, you can type in the city, zipcode, etc that you are looking for within the list and then click the LookUp button. In this case, we are looking up a specific zipcode.

5. After clicking LookUp, it will search for the records that match the criteria and display the number of Matches at the top of the screen.

6. Click the Work button at the bottom of the screen, once it is finished searching, to view the records it found. In this example, there were 2 records that had been found with that particular zipcode.

Exporting Data
At this point, we can export the data that was looked up to a new list, to an existing list (combining lists together) or to a comma delimited text file. The text file option would allow you to open and manipulate the data in an application such as Microsoft Excel.
1. Following from Step 6 above, we have looked up 2 records and to begin the export, we next need to click on Utilities-->Export, at the top if ListMaker.

2. This opens the Export Window, where we can define how the data will be exported.

Export Window Settings
Filename: Click the
icon to create a new file that you want to export he data into. Click the
icon to select an existing mdb file to add this data into.
Selected Records Only: This should be checked if there are only specific records that you have selected to export. This is not needed if you have done the Lookup function above.
ASCII-Comma Format: Select this option if you want to export this data to a comma delimited text file. This would be useful if you want to take the data and open it in Excel, etc.
ListMaker Format: Check this box if you want to export the data into a mdb format that could then be used for dialing in SpitFire.
Records: This shows how many records are being exported at the time you click Export.
3. In this example, we will export the data as a new mdb file that could be used for dialing in SpitFire. So we click the
icon which brings up the Create a New List window.

4. After typing the new list name and clicking Save, it will bring you back to the Export window.

5. Now click Export and you will see the number of records being exported under the Records: field.

This window will disappear after the records are finished being exported.
6. You can then click the Restore Normal View
icon to bring the list back to showing all records.

7. Repeat the steps to look up and export another set of records.
Important Note: When exporting data into the Listmaker Format, ListMaker keeps the disposition information for each record intact. So if the master list had been dialed, the records marked as answering machines, voice connects, no answers, busies, etc would still retain their last result. So you may need to Rework the new list, in order to be able to dial all the records in it. Of course, if none of the data in the master list has been called, then this would not be neccessary.
