Starting A Campaign In SpitFire X

Introduction
There are two ways to start a Campaign with the SpitFire X Autodialer software. The Campaigns can be manually started and stopped or they can be scheduled to start and stop at pre-defined times with JobMaker.
Manually Starting and Stopping
1. First open the Campaign software with the shortcut on the Desktop.

There are typically at least 2 Campaign shortcuts so that you can run more than one campaign at the same time. For the purposes of this tutorial, we are going to use Instance 1.
2. Click I Agree on the Disclosure window that pops up and that will bring you to the main Campaign window.

3. In the center of the Action Item tab are the sections for selecting the specific script and list that you want to use in the Campaign. Click the yellow folder to the left of Load Script to bring up the Open window.

4. Double-click on the folder of the script you wan to use (in this case, the July Promo script) and then on the ini file for the script.

5. Now that script has been selected, you can click the next yellow folder to select the list (database) that you want to use in the Campaign.

Note: In the example above, the Pro version of SpitFire is being used so the list file names are ini files. In the Access version of SpitFire X, the list names will be mdb files.
6. Now that the script and list are selected, the next step is to click the Outbound button and click Start.

The Campaign will begin dialing as soon as you click Start and will stop under one of three possible situations:
1. You click Stop on the Campaign window, the Campaign software finishes the last calls that it was on and then comes to a stop.
Note: When you start dialing that same list again, it will start from where it left off.
2. The list runs out of records and the Campaign comes to a stop. In this case, you will need to either Rework the list or load a different list into the Campaign.
3. The Campaign runs into the FailSafe Schedule which stops it automatically in order to prevent you from accidentally dialing later than you consider to be appropriate.
IMPORTANT: Before you click Start, make sure the lines you want to use are selected.
Using JobMaker
JobMaker is a scheduling program that can be used to set the Campaign software to start and stop at pre-defined times.

Selecting Lines
When dialing an Autodialer Campaign, you typically will have more than one line dialing for that Campaign. In the Campaign software you can select which line or lines to use before you start dialing. There are a couple of reasons why you would need to select which lines for the Campaign software to use.
1. If you want to run two or more Campaigns at the same time, you will need to split the lines between the Campaigns so that they are not "stepping on each other" and trying to use the same lines at the same time.
2. If you want to disable certain lines that are either not working or not plugged into the Dialer. The Dialer assumes a line that is enabled in the Campaign software is a working line and will try to dial out on it, even if there is no dial tone. However, you may be licensed for 8 lines and temporarily only have 4 actually installed in your location that can be plugged into the Dialer.
The procedure for selecting lines is slightly different between the Access and Pro versions of SpitFire X.
First, the Pro version:
1. After opening the Campaign window, click on the Lines tab and then on Line Manager.

2. In the Line Manager window, click on the Manager tab.

3. Left-click on the buttons to set them to green (selected) or yellow (not selected) in the Campaign.
In the Access version of SpitFire X, simply click on the Lines 1 tab and repeat the step 3 above.

IMPORTANT: Selecting or Deselecting lines while a Campaign is dialing is NOT supported. When changing line selections, stop the Campaign, close it and open it back up to proceed. If you try to select more lines than you are licensed for, you will get an error message.

To resolve this issue, close any Campaign windows that are open (be sure to check the Taskbar that may have minimized windows in it), open them back up and select the lines to be used.
